@aristotelian-thomistic He is cherry picking things to make his point.
I have already written extensively about this issue before and proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that both the Bible and the Catholic Church condemn homosexual acts:
https://thecatholicstate.com/on-the-gayq-from-a-catholic-perspective/
But returning to Sodom, in particular, in the Bible, St. Jude says:
"As Sodom and Gomorrha, and the neighbouring cities, in like manner, having given themselves to fornication, and going after other flesh, were made an example, suffering the punishment of eternal fire."
Jude 1:7
So yeah, that is referencing sexual sin. "Going after other flesh" is an expression meaning to engage in sexual deviancy (homosexual acts, bestiality, incest, etc.). At least that's how the Catholic Church has interpreted it for the past 2000 years, so I will go with what the Church says over some heretic that cherry picks what he wants to believe.
Also, it is true that Sodom committed other sins, like lack of hospitality, oppression of the poor, gluttony, sloth and pride. (See Ezekiel 16:49-50).
I emphasize pride here because that is another sin our modern sodomites commit (they literally call their parades "gad pride").
But the Western Civilization is essentially like Sodom right now, since we are not only sexually immoral, but also overly comfortable, overfed, prideful and ignore the poor and needy.
So tying all this back to the Lexington Diocese, the problem is that they are committing the grave sin of scandal by making people think that a grave sin that leads souls to Hell is okay.
This means that as Catholics we are obliged to admonish them for their publicly scandalous behavior. This isn't cyberbullying. This is an act of mercy.
Cyberbullying would be making fun of same-sex attracted persons, which I would NEVER condone.
But shaming Catholics that are scandalizing others by calling a grave sin okay? No, that's not cyberbullying. That is calling out bad Catholics.
